This is the day I fell in love with Roundwood House in Co. Laois, the perfect combination of shabby chic and vintage beauty in one place. Lorna & Ronan's wedding was an intimate day filled with private moments in the perfect wedding location. The manor house set the classic backdrop for the couples vintage themed day and gave us many places and old props for photo opportunities. I loved that Lorna aka Ms Greene got ready in the green room which gave her preparation photos that old world feel. You could hear a pin drop in the small room below as Lorna walked down stairs with her dad to a nervously waiting Ronan who was smiling up at her on the staircase. Like a scene from a black and white movie the couple said their 'I do's'. After their informal and friendly ceremony the couple joined their guest for high tea in china cups and eat from their table of home-made cakes prepared by friends and family. This creative couple had lots of cute details incorporated into their day, thistles, typewriters, hot air balloon favors to name a few.
Outside on the grounds of the house it opened up many places to shoot the bride & groom's portraits with their best (wo)-men. We photographed, enjoyed and strolled up the tree-lined avenue, into the forest, over little bridges, in and out of the courtyard and played on the tire swing. Geese and ducks followed as did the resident dog who meandered around the house all day and featured centre in the group wedding shot. Congratulations Lorna & Ronan on your fab day, I hope that you will treasure your photographs forever.
