Singing in the Rain

This fairytale wedding in Donegal didn't get off to the perfect beginning as it didn't just rain it poured, but it didn't stop this grinning couple from shining all day! Mr & Mrs Lavery did get their perfect ending with the afters taking place in the fantasy inspired Solis Hotel Castle on the paradisal lough eske. We might not have got to take our shots in the pre-decided locations on the banks of the lakes and surrounding forests, but we did have fun running around the large castle exploring the honeymoon suite and wine seller for charming indoor settings. Thank you Colm and Caitriona for such a fun day and night!

Three little ladies have high tea and playtime

High tea has never been so twee. These three sweetpeas had a delightful afternoon. They had delicious cupcakes and lemonade in tea cups and saucers dressed as princesses under the big oak trees, they loved playing dress up, especially Jayden the youngest, who asked 'if they were still princesses?' when they changed into their new purple dresses for an afternoon of climbing trees , swinging on the swings and making flower chains. This cute and sentimental shoot was organized by the little ladies aunt, as a birthday present for her sister, who is said to have shed tears of joy when seeing the final framed photographs and watching the slideshow DVD. 

I do like to be beside the seaside

What a charmer! This pony is aptly named, He poses for shots, sticks out his tongue and even smiles for the camera. Clodagh and Chamer are buddies and had great fun on bettystown beach, and what a picture perfect blue sky day it turned out to be. The reason for their young, funky, jolly shoot had a more sad tone. Clodagh will be grown out of her pony by the end of the year and wanted playful shots of Charmer before he is sold on, and these amusing pictures will be treasured forever. 

 

Bounce, Leap & a Jump

The children of Causey Farm grow up in the most idyllic Irish environment, Causey is a place where the fun never stops, it holds all sorts of events all year round located perfectly in the lush green rolling fields of Meath. On this occasion it was Jim's confirmation and a great excuse to hire a bouncy castle and let all the cousins run free and have a bounce leap and a  jump.  

Welly's & Raincoats

Little Omey was a ray of sunshine on an otherwise rainy day! She created much amusement and joy in her stylish new welly boots, spotty raincoat and peppa umbrella. Omey and her Mommy Shannon enjoyed climbing the big old trees and playing in the fairy garden. 

The Ruby Collection

I was delighted to have such a fun & wild day capturing images of this 'Moggle' as she called herself, Ruby is such a pro, a model in the making! Ruby's love for animals was ever present but this girl isn't afraid of a bit of hard work and loves to help out with the yard! 

Location, Location, Location!

It was a sunny weekend in Donegal for this recce, or a trail run looking for locations to photograph for Catriona and Colum's upcoming wedding in May, hopefully they will be as blessed with the weather as they were on Saturday. There was endless opportunities for great shots here at the enchanting Solis Hotel on the beautiful lough Eske. I am looking  forward to shooting their elegant wedding in the summer.
